The Sales and Marketing Manager is responsible for all hotel sales and marketing functions, reservations, and maximizes the hotel revenue market share and optimize profit returns.
- Maintains awareness of current and future competitors’ products, pricing, and marketing programs so as to be in the position to proactively respond to market conditions.
- Establish priorities and objectives for all Revenue, Sales and Marketing functions, monitoring functions and adjusting resources as deemed necessary so as to develop marketing leadership and optimal productivity.
- Plans and executes sales trips to major market areas and reports to the General Manager on new potential market areas that should be covered.
- Maintains accurate forecasting for all groups and other market segments and identifies valley periods for sales operation.
- Established programs and directed efforts to achieve group and other market segments room night goals and to develop ongoing relationship with clients and customers.
- Attends major client functions and promotional events to promote sales for the hotel and meets with influential clients.
- Ensure effective utilization of guest profiles and consistent delivery of guest preferences.
- Maintains strong relationship and goodwill with regular guests and local patrons.
- Practices and promotes effective and timely recovery of guest complaint situations.
- Conducts departmental expense through proper analysis and planning of manpower needs, purchases, and usage of materials and supplies.
- Monitors all reservations to have a final check of anticipated business.
- To be fully conversant with the computer software relating to the handling of accommodation reservations, client registrations, guest billing, filing and occupancy statistics.
- Checks customer satisfaction and resolves any outstanding issues to ensure future business.
- Establishes and maintains flies on major active accounts within respective market areas.
- Promotes and produces sales leads when applicable.
- Provides feedback to Operations and General Manager on changing marketing conditions, including trends in competition, as a result of direct sales solicitation, telephone and direct mail in the market area. - Arranges site inspections for the hotel.
- Ensures optimum yield from events through planned and focused sales.
- Manages timely execution of events and related follow-up.
- Produces sales related financial report.
- Maintains professional business confidentiality.
- Performs all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner in accordance to established hotel policies to achieve overall objectives of the position.
- Coordinates reservation requirements and liaise with respective departments.
- Establishes and maintains good relations with corporate accounts, travel agencies, airline and other booking sources.
- Constantly reviews room availability in relations to total room sold, opening and closing categories with a view to maximizing occupancy and revenues.
- Aggressively achieves productivity and cost efficiency.
- Have and maintain effective communication with other Department Heads or Line Managers.
- Adheres to set procedures for attendance and timekeeping.
- Carries out other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Operations and General Manager

Pay: From QAR6,000.00 per month
