About the role:
Qatar Airways are pleased to announce an incredibly exciting opportunity to join our Flight Operations team as a Business Intelligence Manager.
In this role you will be responsible for automated data handling and delivery to the Flight Operations team. You will be responsible for driving continuous development of the division’s Business Intelligence (BI) platform consisting of Flight Ops Data Warehouse, BI visualization tools, and advanced analytical tools. You will also be required to employ the modern approaches of Data Engineering and DataOps when implementing the technical aspect of the department's BI strategy set forth by the Manager Operational Reporting & Analysis.
Some responsibilities of the role include:
- Drive the effort for continuous automation of data analysis and delivery to support informed business decisions.
- Drive the continuous research of the relevant company data sources, translating it to Flight Ops Data Warehouse enhancements to enable an end-to-end multi-dimensional analysis of operational performance.
- Maintain quality control, and conduct investigation of data discrepancies to ensure accurate information in the reporting and operational systems, alongside the development of the Flight Ops Data Warehouse.
- Standardize the use of BI tools, and ensure the team employs consistent visualization solutions, presentation templates, and infographics to provide for adequate representation of Flight Operations metrics.
- Lead the cooperation with the Flight Ops Data Warehouse IT support team, drive project management and ensure deliverables within the agreed SLA.
- Drive the adoption of innovative technical solutions aimed at improving data usage by evaluating existing and emerging technologies in data analytics.
- Collaborate with the Data Science Manager, analysts and business stakeholders to understand data requirements.
- Support the Data Science Manager in deployment of machine learning models.
- Manage the Flight Ops Data Warehouse manual, keeping track of the enhancements of the data warehouse and BI tool.

**Qualifications**:
About you:
- Relevant College or University qualification to minimum of Bachelor's level in either Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Business Intelligence (BI), Data Science or Operations Research with a minimum of 6 years job-related experience.
- Experience in a managerial Business Intelligence role at an airline.
- Experience in managing Data Engineering projects and Cloud Data Warehousing and services, e.g. Google, Azure ML Studio.
- Applied knowledge of a well-recognized BI tool, e.g. Tableau, Qlik, PowerBI.
- Applied knowledge of relational databases and SQL programming.
- Applied knowledge of ETL tools, e.g. Pentaho, Alteryx.
- Solid business analysis and project management skills.
- Profound understanding of operational impacts.
- Demonstrable effective business-like communication skills, both verbal and written.
