**Responsibilities**:
Our newest opportunity is for a talented **Commercial Manager** to join our consultant team on a landmark **mega project** based in **Doha, Qatar**.
This is a senior-level role requiring deep commercial acumen, leadership, and contract administration expertise, particularly in large-scale consultancy environments.
We envisage success in this role to include;
- Leading the commercial function within the consultant team on a mega project.
- Managing the end-to-end assessment process of interim payment certificates and final accounts.
- Evaluating and processing variation orders (VOs), contractual claims, and cost impacts.
- Ensuring compliance with contractual and legal obligations related to commercial matters.
- Providing strategic advice on commercial and contract risks.
- Managing commercial correspondence, negotiations, and resolution of disputes.
- Developing and maintaining robust reporting systems and dashboards for commercial performance.
- Leading and mentoring a team of quantity surveyors and commercial specialists.
- Liaising with the client, contractors, and project management teams to ensure timely and accurate commercial administration.
- Preparing commercial reports, forecasts, and analysis for senior stakeholders.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envision that your career journey to date will include** 15+ years of commercial experience, with at least 5 years in a similar role on large-scale infrastructure or construction projects,**partnered with a **Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.**
- Professional membership such as MRICS, MCIArb, or equivalent is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of FIDIC and other standard forms of contract.
- Proven experience working within a consultancy environment on mega or complex projects.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and leadership skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
