Upkeep and maintenance

Materials, buildings and equipment:

- Carries out remedial work where possible (small DIY, simple plumbing work, carpentry).
- Carries out minor improvement/customisation work for staff (hangs wires/wooden strips to hang up students' work, puts padlocks on cupboards or doors, changes light bulbs/neon lights, repairs laminators/shears, etc.)
- Administrative tasks

Assists the bursar with administrative tasks (checking invoices, booking canteen orders, monitoring inventories and restocking).
- Purchasing
- Purchases small consumables.
- Makes equipment purchases (teaching materials, equipment, IT, furniture, etc.) approved by the Management from local shops or supermarkets.
- Suggests specialist shops, if necessary, for specific purchases.
- Is responsible for credit card payments.
- Logistics

Mail and administrative procedures
- Collects mail 3 times a week from the post office and, on request, from the embassy, and distributes it to the offices or recipients' mailboxes.
- Sends mail by various services: the post office or services such as ARAMEX, DHL, etc. on the instructions of the Bursar.
- Makes administrative arrangements with banks (deposits of cheques and cash, requests for transfers submitted by the accounts department).
- Delivers envelopes/documents to ministries and the French Embassy and obtains signatures/forms required for the Lycée's administrative procedures.
- Company car
- Drives the company car assigned to him/her for all errands / formalities / airport pick-ups and drop-offs.
- Refuels and cleans the interior and exterior of the car when necessary.
- Follows the Qatari highway code and ensures that he/she has the car's papers and driving licence with him/her when travelling.
