**About the role**

The Lead Ops Performance Analyst is responsible for undertaking advanced performance reporting and analysis for the Flight Operations divisions. This activity involves using a range of analytical techniques such as statistical analysis, data modelling, data visualization, machine leaning, prototyping decision support tools, and providing meaningful data insights to the senior management and business users. Some responsibilities include:
1- Develop and maintain strong business acumen within the Flight Operations analytical scope, especially in the areas of on-time performance, flight schedule integrity, predict delays flights, impact on operational costs, etc.

2- Develop and maintain strong understanding of the Flight Operations work processes in order to correctly gauge cause-and-consequence relationships in the data, and be able to provide accurate insights.

4- Design interactive dashboards using a well-recognized BI tool, e.g. Qlik, PowerBI, Tableau, etc.

5- Use programming skills (e.g. SQL, SAS,Python, R) during analysis, model design and deployment.

**Qualifications**:
Essential
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, Operations Research or similar.

**Previous Experience**:
Essential
- Minimum 5 years of job-related experience or strong academic background.
- Experience in an Advanced Analytics or Data Science.
- Expert knowledge of SQL programming, ETL processes, BI Tools.
- Experience in project management.

Preferred
- Experience of working within Flight Operations at an airline.

**Job Specific Skills**:
Essential
- Proven ability to develop and maintain relationships with a range of stakeholders.
- Proven professional spoken and written communication capabilities.
- Highly developed planning, analytical and problem solving skills.
- Grasp of operational impacts and financial/budgetary work.
- Applied knowledge of a well-recognized BI tool, e.g. Qlik, PowerBI, Tableau.
- Excellent English communication (written and spoken).

Preferred
- Understanding of Flight Operations functions and metrics.
- Experience in QlikView, Oracle, Postgres, SAS, R, Python, Pentaho.

Experience in automation, coding and/or programming skills.
