Doha British Schools are a cluster of outstanding schools that provide a British educational provision for over 2500 students in Qatar.

Doha British School Ain Khaled, was founded in 1997 and is a private co-educational day school for students from Foundation Stage to Year 13, offering the National Curriculum of England and IB programmes. Students follow the English Early Years Foundation Stage, the National Curriculum at Key Stages 1, 2, 3 and at Key Stage 4 a comprehensive range of IGCSE courses. At Post-16 the school is the only school in Qatar to offer 4 different pathways for our Post 16 provision, which include AS/A level, BTEC and the IB Diploma programme.

Doha British Schools educational provision has grown as a result of its outstanding reputation, with the opening of the Al Wakra campus in 2014 which offers outstanding education for students from EYFS to Post 16 and our latest addition, Rawdat Al Hamama which currently offers a British style education from EYFS to Year 10.

All Doha British Schools offer a traditional British Pastoral provision and an extensive range of extra-curricular activities. **Responsibilities**:

- A commitment to the safeguarding of all pupils.
- Contribute to developing effective behaviour management strategies which are reflected in high standards of self-discipline, self regulation and behaviour within children in early years..
- Ensure all early years pupils are able to achieve the best to their various abilities.
- Oversight of Phonics and early reading across Early Years.
- Oversight of conceptual numeracy and its importance in early number acquisition.
- Promote the school to parents, stakeholders and the community;
- Seek and implement areas for school improvement and the development of staff in regards to Early Years.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of the provision in early years in close collaboration with the senior leadership team.
- Lead the Reception team in the planning and delivery of a creative and stimulating curriculum..
- Ensure the curriculum supports a range of learning styles and develops children’s independence.
- Secure high quality outdoor learning across EYFS.
- Work in partnership with the leadership team to monitor the success of the teaching of the curriculum and manage areas for improvement.
- Share and model outstanding practice.
- Establish and maintain positive working relationships with all members of staff.
- Provide support and guidance for members of the early years team.
- Keep up to date with current thinking and progression in early years.
- Demonstrate consistently outstanding teaching skills, managing pupils and maintaining high standards of behaviour across the EYFS, and act as a role model for all staff.
- Plan and lead weekly early years planning meetings and ensure effective communication with staff.
- Secure and plan high quality outdoor learning in EYFS.
