**Job Summary**:
As a Laundry Equipment Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of laundry equipment critical to the hospital's daily functions. Your responsibilities will include diagnosing and repairing laundry machinery, conducting preventive maintenance, and collaborating with the facilities team to ensure a clean and efficient laundry facility.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Equipment Maintenance**:

- Perform routine inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on industrial laundry equipment, including but not limited to washing machines, dryers, press machines, and folding machines.
- Collaborate with manufacturers and vendors to troubleshoot and resolve complex equipment issues promptly.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment service history.

**Preventive Maintenance**:

- Develop and implement a preventive maintenance schedule for all laundry equipment to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues and address them proactively.
- Replace worn-out or defective parts and ensure that all components meet safety and operational standards.

**Emergency Response**:

- Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns and equipment failures, working efficiently to minimize disruptions to hospital laundry services.
- Maintain a 24/7 on-call availability for urgent repairs and maintenance issues.

**Documentation and Reporting**:

- Keep detailed records of equipment specifications, maintenance procedures, and service manuals.
- Generate reports on equipment performance, maintenance activities, and recommendations for improvements.

**Safety Compliance**:

- Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols while performing maintenance tasks.
- Identify and address safety hazards promptly, ensuring a secure working environment for all staff.

**Collaboration**:

- Work closely with the Facilities Manager and other departmental staff to coordinate maintenance schedules and prioritize urgent repairs.
- Communicate effectively with laundry staff to gather information on equipment issues and provide training on proper usage.

**Qualifications**:

- ITI in Electrical/ Electronic with technical or vocational training in equipment maintenance is preferred.
- Proven experience as a Laundry Equipment Technician or in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of industrial laundry equipment and their operating principles.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in physically demanding conditions.
- Certification in equipment maintenance is a plus.

The Laundry Technician contribute to the efficient functioning of the hospital critical laundry services, ensuring a clean and comfortable environment for the patients and staff.

Pay: QAR1,800.00 - QAR2,100.00 per month
