Rigger – Offshore Shutdown Project

The Rigger is responsible forthe safe lifting, moving, and positioning of heavy equipment and materialsduring offshore shutdowns, ensuring compliance with strict safety standards inhazardous environments.Key Responsibilities: Lifting & Rigging Operations:o Perform load calculations andselect appropriate slings, shackles, and lifting gear forcranes, winches, and hoists.o Rig and move pipes, valves, vessels,and structural modules (up to 100+ tons).o Assist crane operators with blindlifts and complex load positioning. Shutdown Support:o Work with scaffolders, welders, andmechanical teams to position equipment for maintenance.o Assist in load -outs forsupply vessels and platform module installations. Hazard Awareness:o Identify overhead hazards, swingradius risks, and pinch points.o Follow PTW (Permit to Work) and LOTO(Lockout -Tagout) procedures. Documentation:o Maintain rigging gear inspection logs andreport defects. Requirements· Education: High school diploma + riggingcertification.· Certifications(Mandatory):o OPITO Rigging & Lifting Level 2/3 or NORS Rigger Certification.o BOSIET/HUET (Offshore Survival), H2S/BA,T -BOSIET.o Bankman/Slinger Signaler certification (preferred).· Experience:o 5+ years in offshore/oil & gasrigging, with 3+ years in shutdown projects.o Familiarity with QP, Shell, orTotalEnergies lifting protocols.· Skills:o Proficient in load charts, riggingconfigurations, and crane signals.o Ability to work in confined spaces andat heights.
