Accountant (Retail / Jewellery / Luxury Goods)Job Summary

We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Accountant to manage daily accounting operations, maintain financial records, and ensure accurate reporting. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in bookkeeping, reconciliations, financial reporting, and tax filing, preferably within the retail, jewellery, or luxury goods industry.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Handle bank reconciliations, journal entries, and payroll accounting.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, VAT, and tax regulations.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation.
  • Monitor cash flow, petty cash, and expense reports.
  • Collaborate with management to support financial decision-making.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 2–5 years of professional accounting experience, preferably in retail or jewellery.
  • Proficient in MS Excel and accounting software such as Tally, QuickBooks, or SAP.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in jewellery or luxury goods accounting.
  • Knowledge of VAT filing and reconciliation.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Available to join immediately.
