Restaurant Waiter/Waitress – Job Criteria

Job Responsibilities

  • Greet and seat guests in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Present menus, explain specials, and answer customer questions.
  • Take accurate food and beverage orders and enter them into the POS system.
  • Serve food and drinks promptly and according to service standards.
  • Check on guests regularly to ensure satisfaction and handle any concerns.
  • Clear and reset tables after guests leave.
  • Maintain cleanliness in the dining area and follow hygiene standards.
  • Process customer payments (cash, card, etc.).
  • Assist in opening and closing duties (cleaning, restocking, setup).
  • Coordinate with kitchen staff and other team members to ensure smooth service.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
  • Previous experience as a waiter/waitress is an advantage.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic math skills for handling billing and payments.
  • Physically fit; able to stand for long hours and carry trays.
  • Well-groomed, presentable, and professional.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays.
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices (advantage).
  • English language proficiency required; additional languages are a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: QAR2, QAR3,000.00 per month
