MIRA SEARCH is hiring on behalf of their client AL JAZEERA MEDICAL CENTER, in Qatar. We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Dermatologist to join our team at a leading governmental hospital. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of post-specialization experience working in a hospital setting, with a strong background in both clinical and procedural dermatology. This role offers an opportunity to provide essential medical care to a diverse patient population and contribute to the public health sector.

Job Description

The Dermatologist will be responsible for diagnosing and treating a wide range of skin, hair, and nail conditions. You will manage both common dermatological issues and complex cases, collaborating with other medical specialists to provide comprehensive patient care. Your expertise will be crucial in our outpatient clinics, inpatient consultations, and various procedural units.

Responsibilities

  • Patient Care & Diagnosis:
  • Diagnose and treat skin diseases, including acne, eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis, and skin cancer.
  • Perform skin examinations, including dermoscopy, to identify and monitor suspicious lesions.
  • Provide comprehensive consultations for patients with chronic dermatological conditions.
  • Procedural Dermatology:
  • Perform minor surgical procedures such as biopsies, excisions, and cryotherapy.
  • Conduct laser and light-based therapies for various skin conditions.
  • Administer cosmetic procedures like fillers and Botox, if certified and required.
  • Collaboration & Education:
  • Collaborate with other hospital departments, including oncology, internal medicine, and pediatrics, on interdisciplinary cases.
  • Participate in hospital rounds and provide expert consultation for inpatient dermatology cases.
  • Contribute to medical education by supervising junior doctors and medical students.
  • Record Keeping & Compliance:
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in line with hospital protocols and national regulations.
  • Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and ethical standards.

Requirements

  • Medical Degree (M.D. or equivalent) from a recognized university.
  • Board Certification in Dermatology from a reputable medical board.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a practicing Dermatologist in a governmental hospital or large public health institution.
  • Proven experience in a full range of dermatological procedures.
  • Valid medical license to practice in Qatar.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities.
  • Fluency in English is required; knowledge of Arabic is a significant advantage.
