Job Description

Job Purpose:

To ensure effective startup and shutdown of the RO plant equipment in accordance with the standard operating procedures and work instructions. Responsible for complete RO plant operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate and monitor the Ultrafiltration & Reverse Osmosis Plant to produce optimum quality of permeate water as per the design / requirement through dedicated HMI / SCADA systems. Maintain the feed water availability for running RO plant along with the RO product / permeate tanks capacity to accommodate the product & production shall be pre-planned as per the requirement.
  • Maintain and operate the treatment plant systems with required chemical treatment process. Conduct chemical analysis using portable meter for cross verification of installed chemical dosing controllers.
  • Monitor and Inspect the equipment of the RO plant such as UF- Feed / High Pressure / CIP / RC/MC Pumps, associated Electrical panels, instrumentation & Valves including pipe headers, storage tanks, chemical treatment equipment & Controls. Perform the verification of MC/RC cycle during RO process.
  • Ensure and keep record for the adequate supply of chemicals, consumables and spares related to RO plant. Coordinate with third party (or) approved chemical treatment vendor for periodical analysis & chemical dosing rate adjustments.
  • Ensure appropriate usage and storage of water treatment chemicals at site by following appropriate HSE requirements.
  • Coordinate with plant operators to ensure flawless supply of water as per the demand.
  • Log on operating parameters of the RO plant equipment's at the scheduled intervals by taking appropriate readings through HMI / SCADA. Review the RO product normalization chart on daily basis and record daily parameters in the normalization chart in coordination with plant supervisor.
  • Responsible to follow safe start up and safe shutdown of RO plant. Flushing out of RO membrane with RO permeate while stopping the plant. Responsible to ensure screen filter operation and periodical feed pump strainer cleaning. Ensure screen filter auto cleaning operation.
  • Inform immediate supervisor about the abnormalities / malfunctions of the equipment found during the 24 x 7 operation and ensure all safety standards and followed.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or secondary / industrial training course in Mechanical / Electrical / Instrumentation / Chemistry

Minimum Experience:

  • 2 years of experience in RO plant activities from GCC
  • Hands-on experience of RO plant operations & maintenance with adequate knowledge of chemical water treatment process

Job-Specific Skills (Generic / Technical):

  • Excellent command on technical and commercial aspects of RO systems
  • Computer literacy as most RO plants use computerized equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
