Job Description

General Trading & Information Technology, a leading ICT and ELV Systems Integrator with over six years of successful operations in the Qatar market, is seeking a motivated and technically skilled Junior ELV Engineer to join our Engineering & Design Department in Doha.

The role focuses on system design, documentation, and project coordination for various Extra Low Voltage (ELV) systems. The candidate will work under senior engineers to ensure that all technical deliverables comply with Qatar authority regulations (MME, QCDD, MoI-SSD) and international standards (TIA/EIA, ISO/IEC, BICSI).

This position does not involve hands-on installation or configuration — it is a technical design and coordination role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the engineering design, documentation, and coordination of multiple ELV systems across infrastructure and building projects.
  • Prepare schematic diagrams, single-line drawings, layout plans, device schedules, and detailed design documentation for:
  • Structured Cabling Systems (Copper & Fiber) – designed per TIA/EIA, ISO/IEC, and BICSI standards.
  • Active & Passive Network Infrastructure – LAN topology, rack layouts, and patching schedules.
  • Wi-Fi Systems – coverage and access point design based on environmental and architectural parameters.
  • Access Control, Intercom, and Gate Barrier Systems – logical and physical design ensuring seamless integration.
  • CCTV & ANPR Systems – camera layout design, field-of-view analysis, bandwidth, and storage calculations in compliance with MoI-SSD.
  • SMATV / IPTV Systems – signal distribution and headend configuration layouts.
  • Public Address & Voice Evacuation Systems – acoustic zone layout and load distribution design.
  • UPS Systems – power sizing, redundancy planning, and distribution schematics.
  • Support in preparing technical submittals, BOQs, and material take-offs (MTOs) for consultant review and approval.
  • Coordinate with consultants, suppliers, and subcontractors for technical clarifications and approvals.
  • Participate in design review meetings and prepare progress and compliance reports.
  • Maintain and organize engineering documentation, drawings, and revision logs.
