Job Purpose Summary:

The
Network Specialist
will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing large-scale network infrastructure to ensure high performance, reliability, and security throughout the Arab Cup event. The role involves handling complex network configurations, monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimizing network systems to maintain seamless connectivity and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, configure, and manage large-scale network infrastructures including LAN, WAN, and wireless networks.
  • Implement and maintain network security, routing, switching, and VLAN configurations.
  • Monitor network performance using tools such as
    Wireshark
    ,
    Nagios
    , or
    SolarWinds
    to identify and resolve issues proactively.
  • Conduct root-cause analysis of network incidents and provide quick resolutions to ensure uptime.
  • Support event network setup, testing, and go-live activities for the Arab Cup event.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate and optimize network solutions.
  • Document network architecture, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational and security standards.

Education & Certifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred).
  • Professional Certifications:
    CCNP or CCIE (Mandatory).

Skills & Competencies:

  • Deep understanding of
    Network Concepts, Protocols, and Technologies
    — TCP/IP, VLANs, Routing, Switching, Wireless Technologies.
  • Hands-on experience in network design, configuration, and troubleshooting.
  • Expertise with
    Network Monitoring Tools
    — Wireshark, Nagios, SolarWinds.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills.
  • Ability to perform under pressure and within tight event timelines.
