Job Summary

The Bar Sorter is responsible for sorting, stacking, identifying, and organizing steel bars produced in the rolling mill. The role ensures proper segregation of materials according to size, grade, and production requirements, supporting efficient mill operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Sort finished steel bars by length, diameter, and grade.
• Identify and label materials accurately according to production specifications.
• Assist in stacking and bundling bars for storage or dispatch.
• Inspect bars for defects and report quality deviations.
• Ensure safe handling of heavy steel bars and equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the sorting and storage areas.
• Follow instructions from supervisors and coordinate with mill operators.
• Comply with safety standards and wear PPE at all times.

Requirements

• Basic education; industrial work experience preferred.
• 1–2 years of experience in steel plants or manufacturing environments is an advantage.
• Ability to physically handle heavy materials.
• Basic understanding of steel bar specifications (sizes, grades).
• Ability to follow instructions and work in a fast-paced production area.
• Good safety awareness and teamwork skills.
