aily Responsibilities

  • Prepare and bake pastries – including cakes, cookies, tarts, eclairs, croissants, pies, and specialty desserts.
  • Develop new dessert recipes and seasonal offerings to keep the menu fresh and innovative.
  • Ensure consistency in taste and presentation of all pastries and desserts.
  • Follow recipes and portion controls to reduce waste and maintain cost control.
  • Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in the pastry station and kitchen.
  • Check the quality of ingredients and ensure freshness and proper storage.
  • Decorate and finish pastries with attention to detail for presentation.

Operational & Administrative Tasks

  • Plan and organize production schedules based on daily needs and special events.
  • Monitor inventory of baking supplies and ingredients; request stock when needed.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and internal policies.
  • Collaborate with the head chef or executive chef to align pastry offerings with the overall menu.
  • Train and supervise junior pastry staff or assistants when necessary.
  • Maintain and care for baking equipment, ensuring functionality and cleanliness.
