Job Description:

We are seeking a qualified Safety Officer with strong experience in Oil & Gas projects to join our team in Qatar.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring safety standards, conducting inspections, and ensuring compliance with all HSE regulations and client safety policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and monitor company and client HSE policies and procedures at site.
  • Conduct daily toolbox talks, risk assessments, and safety briefings.
  • Inspect worksites to identify hazards and unsafe practices, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Ensure all employees use PPE correctly and follow safe work methods.
  • Maintain records of incidents, near misses, and safety observations; assist in investigation and reporting.
  • Coordinate with site management and supervisors to promote a positive safety culture.
  • Ensure compliance with PTW (Permit to Work) and LOTO (Lock Out Tag Out) procedures.
  • Participate in safety audits and inspections conducted by client or third parties.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Education: Diploma / Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
  • Certifications: NEBOSH IGC / IOSH / OSHA or equivalent safety qualification (mandatory).
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience as a Safety Officer in Oil & Gas / Petrochemical / Industrial projects.
  • Strong knowledge of Qatar HSE regulations and site safety requirements.
  • Excellent communication and reporting skills.
  • Immediate joiners preferred (Qatar local candidates).
