Position Overview:

The Cathodic Protection Sales & Service Engineer will be responsible for promoting, selling, and executing cathodic protection systems and related services for pipelines, storage tanks, and other metallic structures. The role combines strong technical understanding with commercial and customer-facing skills to ensure successful project acquisition, execution, and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:1. Sales & Business Development

·       Identify and develop new business opportunities for cathodic protection (CP) systems, materials, and maintenance services.

·       Prepare technical and commercial proposals in response to RFQs, tenders, and direct enquiries.

·       Conduct client visits, technical presentations, and product demonstrations to promote CP products and solutions.

·       Coordinate with principals and suppliers for pricing, technical clarifications, and delivery timelines.

·       Maintain strong relationships with key clients such as QatarEnergy, Qatargas, QChem, and EPC contractors.

·       Achieve annual sales targets and support the company's growth strategy in the corrosion protection domain.

  1. Technical & Service Support

·       Perform site surveys, potential measurements, and troubleshooting of CP systems (impressed current and sacrificial types).

·       Supervise installation, commissioning, and maintenance activities for CP systems and associated components (rectifiers, anodes, test posts, reference electrodes, etc.).

·       Carry out system testing, performance evaluation, and prepare service reports in line with applicable standards.

·       Provide technical advice to clients on system design, performance optimization, and corrective actions.

·       Ensure adherence to relevant standards such as NACE, ISO, and client-specific specifications.

  1. Project Coordination & Documentation

·       Prepare detailed technical documentation including drawings, material submittals, and test reports.

·       Coordinate with procurement, logistics, and subcontractors to ensure timely project delivery.

·       Participate in project review meetings, site coordination meetings, and ensure client satisfaction.

·       Maintain proper documentation for all service jobs and warranty claims.

  1. Health, Safety & Compliance

·       Follow company HSE policies and promote safety awareness during site activities.

·       Ensure all works are executed safely in accordance with client and project HSE requirements.

Qualifications & Experience:

·       Bachelor's Degree in Electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation / Mechanical Engineering.

· –10 years of experience in Cathodic Protection Systems (pipeline, tank, and marine applications).

·       NACE CP-2 certified 

·       Proven experience in both sales and technical service roles within the Oil & Gas sector.

·       Good knowledge of NACE / ISO / BS standards related to cathodic protection.

·       Experience with CP system design software and data interpretation preferred.

·       Valid Qatar driving license is an advantage.

·       Previous experience in Qatar is mandatory

Skills & Competencies:

·       Strong communication and client-handling skills.

·       Ability to interpret electrical schematics and CP system layouts.

·       Excellent report writing and presentation skills.

·       Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.

·       Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

·       Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Work Environment:

Primarily office-based with frequent site visits to onshore and offshore facilities. May involve travel within Qatar and occasionally to other GCC countries.
