Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, execute, and document mechanical testing activities, including pressure testing, functional testing, leak testing, and performance evaluation.
  • Prepare and review test packs in accordance with Qatar Energy requirements.
  • Conduct system walk-downs, identify discrepancies, and ensure punch list closure prior to testing.
  • Coordinate with construction, commissioning, QA/QC, and operations teams to ensure testing readiness.
  • Verify installation quality and compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and Qatar Energy procedures.
  • Analyze test results, troubleshoot issues, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Ensure all testing and commissioning activities adhere to Qatar Energy safety and quality standards.
  • Prepare comprehensive test reports and submit documentation for client approval.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum 5–10 years of experience in the oil & gas industry.
  • Mandatory experience working on Qatar Energy projects.
  • Valid Qatar Energy approval as Testing / Mechanical Engineer (required).
  • Strong knowledge of piping systems, mechanical equipment, static/rotating equipment, valves, and utility systems.
  • Hands-on experience with mechanical test pack preparation and execution.
  • Familiarity with international standards (ASME, API, ISO).
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and coordination skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary environment.
