Music Teacher for Maternity Cover in Lower School (Foundation Stage 1 to Year 2)- January to May Three days per week

We Are Seeking
An enthusiastic, experienced, and committed Music Teacher to cover maternity leave. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a dynamic and forward-thinking environment that values creativity, curiosity, and child-centred learning.

We Are Looking For Someone Who

  • Holds a Bachelor of Education (or equivalent) with specialisation in Music
  • Is an inspirational and reflective classroom practitioner
  • Has strong knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum
  • Promotes high standards of teaching, learning, and behaviour
  • Works collaboratively as part of a supportive and passionate team.

Safeguarding & Documentation Requirements
DESS is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children. All successful candidates will be required to provide:

  • A valid Police Clearance Certificate
  • UK passport holders must submit an ICPC (International Child Protection Certificate)
  • Certified and attested educational certificates and transcripts, notarised in the country of issue and stamped by:
  • The Qatar Embassy in the country of origin
  • The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) in Qatar
  • Copies of birth, marriage, or name change documents (if applicable).

The school can provide guidance and support throughout the documentation and attestation process.

Interviews will take place in October/November 2025.

Candidates based in Qatar will be invited for an in-person interview and teaching observation.
