Manager Treasury

About the role

As the Treasury Manager, you will oversee, administer and optimise treasury systems, processes and infrastructure to optimise treasury compliance, transaction processing, data capture and reporting. You will work across the treasury, finance, IT and wider business functions to deliver structures and solutions through the adoption of new technologies and working methods. You will also provide high levels of communication, development and support to the team ensuring seamless adoption of new technologies and ways of working.

Job Responsibilities

Strategic

• Contribute to development of strategic plans alongside senior managers towards sustainable profitability to the business.

• Coordinate risk assessments with team to ensure mitigating actions are identified and embedded within functional responsibilities.

• Participate and co-ordinate the strategic planning and budgeting processes by partnering with managers within treasury.

• Improve processes on a continual basis utilizing leading practices in order to enhance overall transformation.

Operational

• Provide assessment of financial risks, recommend mitigating strategies and maintain compliance with risk management policies.

• Implement risk management strategies to limit any adverse impact from financial risks.

• Document, and communicate processes and procedures in line with risk management and accounting policies. Summarise market information and analysis for senior management providing views on relevant markets.

• Provide analysis and reporting on fleet plans, asset valuations and lease and financing portfolios

• Support senior management in the delivery of cost-effective financing for fleet, all other credit related activities to ensure availability of liquidity for working capital and capital projects.

• Manage execution of financing transactions including structuring, negotiation, documentation, closing related activities, and post-closing management activities; co-ordinate between various internal and external parties as required.

• Manage proper audit controls and accounting for financial accounting and responsible for month/year end closing activities.

• Track and communicate benefits and progress against milestones and targets for assigned projects.

• Manage, lead and facilitate process design meetings in order to extract key business and technical procedures process criteria, identify pain points and causes and prioritise most important initiatives.

• Develop road map/business plan for future business improvement to close gaps identified in processes.

• Review processes, systems and controls and recommend improvements to reduce processing times, increase speed and access to information.

• Responsible for generating adhoc reports as required by internal stakeholders.

• Ensure frameworks are implemented to administer systems and maintain data integrity across system.

• Support management in the co-ordination and delivery of an optimised banking structure and supporting infrastructure, processes and controls to facilitate seamless business operations.

• Build networks, manage relationships and hold stakeholders accountable for service standards Maintain appropriate policy and procedures governing bank mandates and access to online banking portals.

• Maintain the bank mandates and ensure there is a clear framework in place to train and support authorised users and to administer both manual and online access at all times.

• Ensure required services from the Banks are arranged, implemented, coordinated and support business operations in the most efficient manner.

• Ensure user access and training is available for all online banking portals.

• Ensure that record keeping controls support a clear audit trail for all treasury transactions.

• Perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed by the Head of the Department.

About You

• Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent with Minimum 8 years of job-related experience

• Graduate, qualified Accountant and/or AMCT/MCT/CFA qualified or equivalent

• Experience in effectively managing people to deliver business requirements in corporate treasury or a related area in finance.

• Track record in effective financial risk management strategies and communications, sourcing finance, execution and integration of related processes.

• Evidence of experience in treasury operations including banking, payments, liquidity management and cash flow forecasting.

• Experience across a wide range of products and strategies regarding treasury systems, banking, risk management (hedging), financing and payment activities.

• Experience in meaningful business improvement/efficiency and effectiveness change management experience driving continuous improvement in process delivery.
