We are looking for talented people who share our purpose of inspiring confidence and empowering change for our clients, our people, and our communities.

Overview

As an Associate Director in the Infrastructure Advisory practice, you will lead complex projects for public and private sector clients across the entire infrastructure lifecycle — from strategic planning and business case development to financing, procurement and delivery. You will bring deep expertise in infrastructure transactions, project finance, public-private partnerships (PPP/P3), and major capital projects, while mentoring and growing a high-performing team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Client Delivery:
  • Lead the delivery of large, complex infrastructure advisory projects including strategic planning, pre-feasibility & feasibility studies, business plan, financial modeling, procurement, and transaction structuring.
  • Provide advice to clients on infrastructure financing, funding structures, and project delivery models such as P3s, Design-Build (DB), and Design-Build-Finance (DBF) etc.
  • Develop and review business cases, investment strategies, and value-for-money (VfM) assessments.
  • Project Management:
  • Oversee multiple engagements simultaneously, ensuring high-quality deliverables are produced on time and within budget.
  • Manage project teams, including delegation, supervision, and mentorship of junior staff.
  • Business Development:
  • Identify market opportunities, support the development of proposals, and actively contribute to practice growth.
  • Maintain and grow client relationships, including private developers & investors, government agencies, technical and legal advisors, and lenders.
  • Support thought leadership initiatives, including whitepapers, speaking engagements, and client events.
  • Team Leadership:
  • Mentor, coach, and develop team members through formal and informal performance management.
  • Promote a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performance culture.
  • Risk and Quality Management:
  • Ensure compliance with internal risk management frameworks and external regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain high standards of professional conduct and ensure client confidentiality.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (BE Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, B. Arch), Finance, Economics, Public Policy, or related field.
  • MBA, CPA, CFA, CAIA or other relevant post-graduate qualifications preferred.

Required Experience

  • 8–12 years of relevant experience, ideally including:
  • Advisory roles in infrastructure projects (e.g., within a Big 4 firm, investment bank, engineering consultancy, or government agency).
  • Structuring and closing infrastructure transactions.
  • Developing financial models for infrastructure or capital projects.
  • Proven experience in managing project teams and leading client end-to-end engagements with minimum supervision.
  • Preference would be given for bilingual (Arabic / English)

Key Skills and Competencies

  • Strong techno-commercial skills in infrastructure finance, project finance, and economic evaluation.
  • Deep understanding of public-private partnership models and government procurement processes.
  • Strong leadership, project management, and people management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, including the ability to present complex information clearly to executives.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to drive business development.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and resilience under pressure.

Preferred Industry Expertise

  • Transportation (e.g., roads, rail, airports)
  • Energy and Utilities (e.g., renewables, transmission)
  • Social Infrastructure (e.g., hospitals, education, social housing, public parks, beaches etc.)
