Senior Process Engineer- Wastewater Systems

Qatar, Doha

Parsons is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Process Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, optimization, and improvement of wastewater treatment processes. This role is integral to ensuring the efficiency and compliance of our wastewater systems.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Lead the design and development of innovative wastewater treatment processes.
• Conduct Septicity Analysis through WATS model enabled software analysis and strategize odor control and management in pumping stations.
• Conduct process simulations and troubleshooting.
• Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) for process control.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize system performance.
• Monitor system performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement necessary changes.
• Ensure compliance with local and international regulations related to wastewater treatment.
• Carrying out Concept, preliminary and detailed engineering works related to process engineering such as developing PFD, P&ID mass balance.
• Carryout design of odour control systems including bio filtration and activated carbon filtration as required.
• Excellent report writing skills.
• Coordination with other Discipline Engineers as applicable.
• Coordinate with BIM/CAD Technicians concerning project requirements and timelines.
• Conducting client and project meetings as required by the project.
• Ensure statutory and regulatory requirements are met in all designs.
• Support the project submittals and No Objection Certificates (NOC) process to the relevant Authorities.
• Allocating resources and time effectively
• Stay updated with relevant technical developments within the discipline.
• Understand the contract and scope of project deliverables.
• Ensure that Health & Safety is embedded into all work practices in line with company policies.
• Provide regular work status updates, including risks or concerns, to Seniors or MEP manager.
• Attend and contribute in team and project meetings as required.
• Complete accurate time sheets by set deadline.
• Take on additional duties as assigned by management.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering or a related field.
• Chartered Engineer (CEng) or licensed Professional Engineer (PE) from UK, USA or European affiliations or equivalent accepted by Qatar is required.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in process engineering within the wastewater industry.
• Proven experience in leading large-scale projects from conception to completion.
• Familiarity with Qatar environmental regulations pertaining to wastewater treatment.
• MME registration is preferred but will be required upon hiring.
• Proficiency in using process simulation software. Required to have working knowledge of WATS software.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities.
• Strong leadership skills with a dedication to driving and achieving results -
