Job Description
*Responsibilities:*

  • Carry out preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance of electrical systems and equipment including:

  • Switchgear, MCCs, transformers, UPS systems, and battery chargers

  • Motors, generators, lighting systems, and control panels

  • Offshore power distribution and instrumentation circuits

  • Inspect and test electrical systems to identify faults or irregularities.

  • Replace defective components such as contactors, relays, switches, fuses, and circuit breakers.
  • Ensure all repairs are carried out to meet offshore operational reliability and safety standards.
  • Maintain compliance with QatarEnergy / QP / NOC offshore safety rules.
  • Assist in preparing daily maintenance reports and handover notes.
  • Participate in toolbox talks, safety meetings, and shift handovers.

Requirements
*Qualifications & Experience:*

  • Diploma / ITI Certificate in Electrical or related field.
  • Minimum 5-8 years of experience, including at least 3 years in offshore oil & gas or marine facilities.
  • Strong knowledge of HV/LV systems, generators, switchgear, motors, and control panels.
  • Familiar with hazardous area (Ex/ATEX) equipment and offshore electrical safety practices.
  • Knowledge of international standards (IEC, BS, NFPA, IEEE) preferred.
  • Valid BOSIET / HUET and H2S certificates required for offshore deployment.
  • Experience with QatarEnergy, NOC, or QAFCO offshore projects is an advantage.
