Job Title: Housekeeping AttendantJob Summary:

The Housekeeping Attendant is responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, comfortable, and tidy environment for guests and staff. This role ensures that guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas meet the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Guest Room Cleaning

  • Clean, sanitize, and tidy guest rooms, bathrooms, and corridors according to company standards.
  • Make beds, change linens, and replace towels and amenities.
  • Dust furniture, vacuum carpets, and mop floors.
  • Report maintenance issues, damages, or missing items to the supervisor.

2. Public Areas & Common Spaces

  • Clean hallways, elevators, lobbies, and other assigned public areas.
  • Ensure all common areas are well-maintained and presentable at all times.

3. Stocking & Inventory

  • Replenish room supplies (soap, shampoo, tissue, etc.) as needed.
  • Maintain housekeeping carts and storage areas in clean and orderly condition.
  • Report low inventory levels to the supervisor.

4. Safety & Compliance

  • Follow all safety, sanitation, and infection control procedures.
  • Handle cleaning chemicals properly and follow Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) guidelines.
  • Comply with company policies and hotel standards.

5. Guest Service

  • Greet guests politely and respond promptly to their requests.
  • Report lost and found items to the supervisor immediately.
  • Maintain a professional and friendly demeanor at all times.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous experience in housekeeping or cleaning roles is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of cleaning procedures and cleaning equipment.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and lift moderate weights.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.

Working Conditions:

  • May require working on weekends, holidays, and shifts.
  • Frequent standing, bending, and lifting.
  • Exposure to cleaning chemicals (with provided safety gear).
