Summary:

Responsible for implementing, managing, and optimizing clinical applications (EHR, EMR, CPOE, PACS) to improve workflows and support quality patient care. Acts as the primary liaison between clinical teams, IT, and vendors, ensuring systems run efficiently and comply with healthcare regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead implementation, configuration, and optimization of clinical systems.
  • Provide advanced support, troubleshooting, and maintenance for applications.
  • Customize workflows to align with clinical best practices and regulatory standards.
  • Manage system upgrades, patches, and enhancements.
  • Deliver training and develop user guides for clinical staff.
  • Mentor junior specialists and coordinate with vendors for issue resolution and system improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare standards (HIPAA, ICD-10, MACRA).

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Expertise in EHR/EMR and clinical software systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to train users and translate technical concepts for clinicians.
  • Project management and leadership experience.

Education:
Bachelor's in IT or related field.

Experience:

  • 8+ years in clinical application support or healthcare IT.
  • 4+ years as FTE in an inpatient operating facility (required).
