2. JOB PURPOSE:

Responsible for maintaining, repairing, and servicing heavy machinery and air conditioning systems used in Al Awalia's operations.

3. REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:

Reports To

4. KEY DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES:

Operational:

  • Adherence to quality, health & Safety, Information security and business continuity policies.
  • Perform routine and emergency repairs on heavy equipment and A/C systems.
  • Conduct inspections, diagnose issues, and test equipment for proper functionality.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Provide technical expertise and troubleshoot complex issues.
  • Maintain records of maintenance activities and prepare reports.
  • Manage tools, equipment, and spare parts, coordinate with procurement.
  • Identify process improvements and participate in training.
  • Perform any other ad-hoc duties relevant to the role as assigned by the line manager as per business requirements.

7. PROFILE: QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

  • Diploma in any relevant discipline is preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of similar experience is preferred.
  • Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot & repair electrical & AC issues on heavy equipment.
  • Good command of English language.

Functional Competencies:

  • Wide knowledge and skills in repairing different kinds of Air-Conditioning and Heating System
  • Good knowledge of trouble shooting
  • Wide knowledge in package and split and window type AC installation.
  • Good knowledge of electrical spare parts and equipment
  • Good knowledge of advanced tools such as computerized test equipment, welding torches and hydraulic and refilling equipment
  • Good manual dexterity, including the ability to make precise finger movements and the ability to keep their arms and hands steady
  • Good understanding of Qatar and GCC business environment
