We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Standards Officer to support the development, implementation, and maintenance of operational and quality standards across QACC. The successful candidate will help drive consistency in processes, documentation, and training, ensuring strict adherence to regulatory frameworks and organizational requirements. This role is critical in strengthening operational governance, improving compliance, and elevating overall performance across departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in reviewing and updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to align with QACC policies and industry standards.
  • Conduct routine checks to verify operational adherence to established standards.
  • Support cross-functional teams to ensure smooth implementation of quality and operational standards.
  • Maintain and update records related to standardization processes.
  • Develop reports and presentations on compliance and operational standards.
  • Track and monitor findings from operational assessments, ensuring timely follow-up.
  • Support and conduct operational inspections to ensure standardized compliance.
  • Collect and analyze data related to operational performance.
  • Assist in identifying gaps, improvement areas, and corrective actions.
  • Deliver training sessions and awareness programs related to operational standards.
  • Support line managers and teams in understanding and complying with company procedures.
  • Monitor performance against KPIs to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to implement corrective actions.
  • Participate in cross-functional project teams to support compliance and operational excellence.
  • Assist in process mapping, reviewing workflows, and enhancing consistency across departments.
  • Promote compliance with safety, security, and hygiene standards.
  • Ensure confidentiality of all sensitive information and compliance with data protection policies.
  • Highlight incidents, risks, and hazards to ensure timely mitigation.
  • Support Qatar Airways Group Environmental Objectives and sustainability initiatives.
  • Understand and apply environmental principles relevant to operations.

Qualifications

High School Diploma with 6 years of job-related experience OR Bachelor's Degree with 5 years of job-related experience.

Preferred:

  • Certification in food safety, quality management, auditing, compliance, or related areas.
  • Experience in aviation catering, food production, hospitality operations, or regulated environments.

Job-Specific Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of industry standards, regulatory frameworks, and quality systems.
  • Proficiency in report writing, documentation, and presentation preparation.
  • Ability to conduct training for staff at various levels.
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and process integrity.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently while supporting team objectives.
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma) is an advantage.
