Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Cyber Security Engineer (SOC Analyst) to join our security team. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience in SOC environments, advanced knowledge of security tools, and strong analytical skills to detect, investigate, and respond to cyber threats. Fluency in multiple languages and the ability to collaborate across diverse teams will be considered a strong advantage.
Role Overview:
Monitor, detect, and respond to security incidents in real time.
Analyze phishing attempts, malicious attachments, and suspicious activity.
Perform log analysis and correlate alerts across SIEM and EDR/XDR platforms.
Identify and capitalize on Indicators of Compromise (IoCs).
Assess and manage system and application vulnerabilities, ensuring continuous improvement.
Provide incident reports and contribute to threat intelligence sharing.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure secure system configurations and compliance.
Support security audits, certifications, and process enhancements.
Required Skills & Competencies:
Strong understanding of security tools, SOC operations, and threat landscapes.
Solid knowledge of network protocols, operating systems, and log analysis.
Ability to interpret security data and provide actionable insights.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or in a team.
Excellent communication skills with fluency in English (French/Arabic/German a plus).
Technical Expertise (Preferred Tools)
SIEM/EDR/XDR: Splunk, CrowdStrike Falcon, Cortex XDR
Network & Security Platforms: Cisco, Forcepoint
Vulnerability Management: Nexpose Rapid7, Tenable Security Center
Exposure to security automation and orchestration tools (SOAR) is an advantage.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Computer Science, or related field.
Relevant certifications preferred:
SOC Analyst – EC-Council
ISO 27001 Lead Auditor (valid or past experience)
Fortinet Network Security certification
Linux Administration (LPIC1 or higher)
Additional industry certifications (Splunk, CrowdStrike, Cisco, CEH, etc.) will be a plus.
