KEY RESULTS/ACCOUNTABILITIES EXPECTED FROM THE ROLE:The Electric Vehicle (EV) Technician diagnose, service and repairhigh voltage Electric Vehicles (EV) and commercial charging stations. Must have extensive & expert knowledge of how lithium -ion batteriesand automotive systems interact.Repair, maintain, troubleshoot, and service electrical charginginfrastructure using skills and tools that range from computer diagnostics tobasic electrical tools.Understanding of EV systems including e -machines; Inverters; Batteries;Battery management systems; DC Vehicle Charging etc.Perform required preventative maintenance activities on vehicles systemsand carry out workshop tests on engine drive, battery pack and BMS,communication systems and embedded systems. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND CHARACTERISTICS:At least 2 years' technical experience of working on Full ElectricVehicles, especially working with hazardous voltage drive and battery systems.Must be qualified to work on electrical systems, which could includedealer service training or independent training provider or accredited course.IVQ/NVQ Level 3 Motor Vehicle Maintenance orequivalent qualification to work on hazardous voltage electric vehicle systems.
