Located in the former Ministry of Interior building, The Ned Doha offers seven restaurants, 90 bedrooms, event venues, and Ned's Club, a private members' club that gives access to spaces including a rooftop terrace, a health club with spa, gym and 30m outdoor pool.

Job Purpose:
To support the bakery team by preparing and baking a variety of bread, pastries, and baked goods in accordance with the hotel's standards. The Commis 1 – Bakery will assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the bakery section, ensuring consistency, freshness, and quality in every item produced, contributing to an exceptional guest dining experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in daily production of breads, rolls, dough, and other baked items.
  • Follow recipes and portion control guidelines to maintain quality standards.
  • Ensure workstations and equipment are clean, sanitized, and organized.
  • Comply with hygiene and safety standards in all stages of food handling.
  • Support senior bakers and chefs in mise-en-place and service preparation.
  • Participate in stock rotation, labeling, and inventory control as instructed.
  • Maintain a positive and collaborative working environment.

Qualifications & Competencies:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a bakery or pastry kitchen preferred.
  • Diploma or certificate in Culinary Arts or Bakery is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of basic baking techniques and kitchen safety practices.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a keen attention to detail.
  • Willingness to learn and grow within a dynamic team.
