Job Description

  • Supervise and lead civil construction teams (laborers, masons, carpenters, etc.) on-site.
  • Interpret and execute construction drawings and specifications related to civil works in the desalination plant (e.g., foundations, tanks, pipe supports, concrete structures).
  • Coordinate with engineers, subcontractors, and other discipline foremen to ensure the timely progress of civil works.
  • Monitor daily progress and provide regular updates to the site engineer or construction manager.
  • Ensure proper use and maintenance of materials, tools, and equipment.
  • Enforce safety procedures and ensure a safe work environment for all personnel.
  • Plan work schedules and allocate resources efficiently.
  • Conduct toolbox talks and site briefings.
  • Maintain records of attendance, work progress, equipment, and materials used.
  • Inspect work to ensure quality and compliance with specifications.

Requirements:

  • Diploma or certificate in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5–8 years of experience in civil construction of water treatment/desalination projects/oil and gas
  • Strong knowledge of civil construction methods and materials.
  • Ability to read and understand civil drawings and technical documents.
  • Experience in marine or industrial projects.
  • Familiarity with desalination plant components such as intake/outfall structures, foundations for mechanical equipment, underground utilities, etc.
  • Knowledge of construction in coastal or corrosive environments.
