  • Ensure Mechanical,Piping engineering activities are conducted in accordance withregulatory requirements, project specifications and approvedvariations if any.
  • Possess Indepth knowledge of variousfailure modes related to piping and mechanical equipment's
  • Able to interpret various loads acting on equipment's and relatedstresses. Familiar with stress analysis of pressure vessels and piping
  • Possess in depth knowledge of mechanical equipment andpiping integrity assessment including Level 1 and Level 2 Fitness forservice assessment according to established Codes and Standards vizAPI
  • Resolve engineering issues that may arise andcommunicate with the Project Execution Team. Elevate issues to higherlevels when necessary.
  • Coordinate with consultantscontractors, 3 rd party entities and ensure that design deliverablesmeet international codes, standars, project specification and bestengineering practices.
  • Evaluate complex tasks and provideappropriate recommendations to management on issues. Provide supportto other disciplines and contribute to other multi-disciplinary tasks.
  • Ensure project specific engineering surveillance plans areapplied during the screening and review of engineering deliverables.Solicit subject matter expert/technical Authority endorsement onspecification deviations.
  • Be focal point from disciplinefor safety studies, HAZOP, HAZID and facility wide risk assessment.
  • Be discipline focal point during in depended projectReviews (CERs ) such as initial design readiness review, Final designreadiness review, constructability reviews etc
  • Ensurescompliance with QG systems and processes including the QatargasProject Management System (QGPMS) and maintains support and adoptionof all processes. Prepare plans and work schedules that ensureeffective completion of projects.
  • Monitors and providesnecessary guidance to the FEED, EPC Contractor(s) and all 3rd PartyServices throughout the project phases. Ensures the facilities areconstructed per the scope, meeting Qatargas standards andspecifications, within the time and project cost approved by theshareholders.
  • Support / steward risk assessments as partstandard deviations submission/approval process, construction riskassessment, SIMOPS studies etc
  • Support other engineers incomplex analyses and assignments and provides expertise to ensurecompletion of activities within schedule.
