PRIMARY OBJECTIVES / RESPONSIBILITIES Business Development Support Builds positive working relationships with external parties such as the customer, suppliers, and contractors. Business Operations \xe2\x80\xa2Leads budgeting and manages project operations to the budget. Controls project staffing levels, organizational structure, and monitors project discipline structures. \xe2\x80\xa2Oversees employee usage, and skill development. \xe2\x80\xa2Ensures mentoring/training requirements are met. \xe2\x80\xa2Manages the employee performance review process. \xe2\x80\xa2Oversees coverage of activities when people leave the team. \xe2\x80\xa2Ensures project work and team activities meet all health, safety, environmental, and security requirements. Project Execution & Deliverables \xe2\x80\xa2Provides direction and management for every phase of a major program to ensure on-schedule completion within or below budget and in accordance with contractual obligations. Plans and defines program goals and devises methods to accomplish them; develops in-depth knowledge of customer objectives, contract terms, and corporate policies. \xe2\x80\xa2Plans, directs, supervises, and controls the execution of all business, technical, fiscal, and administrative functions of the assigned program, project, or subtask. \xe2\x80\xa2Acts as the Company representative with the customer and selected suppliers during the program execution. \xe2\x80\xa2Negotiates changes to the scope of work with the customer. \xe2\x80\xa2Assists business development in understanding customer issues and business plans in order to market and secure new/additional work. \xe2\x80\xa2Establishes the program requirements for all areas of the program and monitors the draft and final deliverables for adherence to these criteria. Assigns responsibility to executing project plans for key subordinates and assesses how to utilize their qualifications and strengths. \xe2\x80\xa2Provides input to performance reviews and development plans for subordinates. Promotes technical excellence as well as the improvement of the Quality Improvement Process. \xe2\x80\xa2Mobilizes Company resources, through effective liaison with support departments, other offices, or subsidiaries, to create project teams capable of completing effective, quality work. \xe2\x80\xa2Works with Engineering Manager/ individual lead discipline engineer to develop budgets, schedules and plans for the various elements of a project. Ensures that the project meets or exceeds goals established in these plans. Monitors and reports to management on the progress of all project activity within the program, including significant milestones, and any conditions which would affect project cost or schedule. Works with Engineering Manager /individual lead discipline to devise and execute action plans to rectify potential cost overruns or delays, or to accommodate significant changes to the scope of work. Advises the customer and Company management of any such changes. \xe2\x80\xa2Oversees establishment of Work Plan, Health and Safety Plan, Quality Assurance/Quality Control Plan and other documents for hazardous waste work. \xe2\x80\xa2May participate in negotiations with regulatory agencies and in public meetings in support of customers. Quality Assurance \xe2\x80\xa2Responsible for working within the provisions and guidelines of the Quality Assurance systems. \xe2\x80\xa2Work with project engineers to ensure all projects are set up and executed in full compliance with all the requirements of the Worley Project Management Process (WPMP) and General Management System (EMS) using consistent approaches, Work Breakdown Structures, work methodologies and reporting systems \xe2\x80\xa2Monitors the closure of all identified risks and opportunities. Safety \xe2\x80\xa2Responsible for personal safety safe working practices. Understand and follow OH&S procedures \xe2\x80\xa2Promoting health, safety and environmental awareness. JOB SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE: Demonstrate a visible and active commitment to HSE management and its associated requirements in a project environment A thorough knowledge of the regulations, codes and standards (American, British and other International Codes, Standards Expert knowledge in managing multiple, complex projects or programs. This includes major and/or mega projects. Ability to visualize and design new concepts and ideas related to technical/functional projects; broader organization as well as functional area of expertise Broad knowledge of business operations and ability to implement and sometimes lead organizational change effectively within project scope; Broad knowledge of business operations and ability to implement and lead organizational change effectively; Solutions are derived from interpreted and applied general information and consultation with other individuals Ability to effectively communicate and present complex program proposals and reports to executive level management, and customers is critical. INDUSTRY SPECIFIC EXPERIENCE: Prior experience must include significant project experience and successful project management. Minimum 15 years with at least 12+ years of relevant experience supervisory and/or project management including technical and supervisory experience is preferred. Minimum 12 years of experience in Oil and Gas Industry and 10 years of experience on Brownfield projects. Offshore experience of minimum 5 years is a key requirement PEOPLE SKILLS: Able to work in diverse team Able to make difficult decisions and lead and manage others in changing business conditions. Highly effective people management skills such as leadership, team, interpersonal, coaching, mentoring and supervisory skills. Must be able to build, motivate, develop and manage an effective team. Highly effective management skills including the ability to plan, set goals; and manage time, priorities, resources, accountabilities, schedules and cost. Effectively manages and resolves conflict between individuals and/or groups. Negotiates successful outcomes that achieve the required objectives and have the support and acceptance of all parties. OTHER: Good English communication skills (spoken & written) Excellent verbal and written communications skills, including the ability to convey information and ideas to individuals and groups, and make presentations when required. Demonstrates initiative and a willingness to learn and continuously improve on performance. Able to work on multiple projects of various size and complexity. Able to work effectively in small to large multi-disciplinary teams and share and transfer knowledge within teams.
