Job SummaryThe role of the adjunct instructor at the Department of Engineering Technology encompasses teaching one or more of the undergraduate courses in Electrical Engineering (Computer Programming and Algorithms, Electronics, Electric Circuits I, Digital Logic fundamentals, Electrical and Electronic Maintenance Lab., Microprocessors and Microcontrollers, Electrical Machines + Lab, and Power Systems) or Mechanical Engineering (Statics, Mechanical Drawing, Engineering Workshops, Dynamics, Specialized Measurements, Materials Technology, Mechanics of Materials, Fluid Power Fundamentals, Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning, and Mechanics of Machinery).EducationMaster’s or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering /Electrical Engineering TechnologyThe applicant is also expected to
  • Demonstrate skill and knowledge in teaching discipline;
  • Review, evaluate, and recommend student textbooks and learning materials;
  • Develop, and use a variety of teaching materials that assist students in meeting course objectives;
  • Make continuous efforts to improve the quality of instruction by utilizing innovative methodologies, techniques, and delivery methods;
  • Evaluate students to measure their progress toward achievement of stated course objectives;
  • Keep accurate student records and submit related reports and forms within requested timelines;
  • Uses technology effectively for educational and administrative purposes;
  • Teach courses at a variety of times and locations in response to institutional needs.
