Education:

A certified teaching qualification, such as B.Ed, PGCE, or equivalent (the PGCE must be accompanied by a subject relevant Bachelor’s Degree).    

Experience:

Minimum 3-5 years teaching experience, preferably within an IB programme.

Previous leadership or coordination role within an educational institution, particularly in managing IB programmes, are highly desirable.

Experience of teaching Diploma Subjects is also desirable.

Knowledge and Understanding:

In-depth understanding of International Baccalaureate curriculum, assessment procedures, and program requirements.

Familiarity with IB philosophy, pedagogy, and approaches to teaching and learning.

Knowledge of educational policies, standards, and regulations related to IB programmes.

Leadership and Communication:

Strong leadership abilities to inspire and guide faculty, staff, and students in implementing IB curriculum effectively.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to liaise with stakeholders.

Ability to collaborate and coordinate with school administration and faculty.

Organisation and Administration:

Exceptional organisational skills to manage logistical aspects of IB programme implementation.

Proficiency in data analysis to monitor student progress and facilitate data-driven decision-making.

Strong administrative abilities for documentation, reporting, and compliance requirements.

Professional Development:

Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying updated with IB education developments.

Willingness to attend IB workshops, conferences, and training sessions.
