Job Description

The Math and Physics Instructor isresponsible for delivery of Math and Physics modules within Qatar Technical Institutein Doha, Qatar.

TheMath and Physics Instructor will develop and deliver a range of Math andPhysics modules within the QTI's Foundation and Vocational program. Flexibilityis required as there may be variation to this depending on the institute'sneeds.

Inaccordance with the assessment strategy, the Math and Physics Instructor will developand follow robust tracking and assessment methods to ensure standards aremaintained, thus ensuring progress within the QTI.

TheMath and Physics Instructor will actively contribute to the continuingimprovement of the QTI, through identification of new ideas and embracing thesuggestions of others.

Core Activity

Therole requires development and delivery of Math and Physics within the QTI, bothin the classroom and the workshops. The modules at present prepare the studentsfor the training involved to gain City & Guilds Aircraft Maintenancecertification. The modules may need to be developed further as the Institutediversifies the training routes for students.

Therole requires proficiency in a range of teaching approaches from presentationsto student-centered inquiry-base methods.

Therole requires the instructor to be organised and capable of designing lessonplans with clear learning objectives and outcomes using online LearningManagement Systems and with a multi-skilled team.

Therole requires conduct of assessments in accordance with the assessment strategyin place.

DeliverScience courses within the QTI, thus ensuring training is delivered in linewith quality and delivery targets.

Maintainand develop a customer-focused approach that delivers customer satisfaction.

Workin collaboration with colleagues to ensure high quality unified approach toteaching Science.

Ensureall SHE requirements are met in the training environment.

Ensure compliancewith statutory, regulatory and corporate requirements.

Requirements

Musthave 2 years' experience of teaching Physics or Maths, with English asthe teaching medium and have the following minimum qualifications:

A Bachelor degree in either Math/Physics subject.

Ateaching qualification such as a B.Ed. or PGCE in a Science/Math-based subject.

Preferred:

2 years'experience of training design following BSAT/DSAT model or ADDIE.

Experienceof teaching in the Middle East.

Experienceof teaching City and Guilds qualifications or in a vocational environment.

Abilityto teach engineering if required.
