Airswift is seeking forInstrument Engineer to work in Qatar with a major Oil & GasCompany.

QUALIFICATION Bachelor's degree or equivalent ininstrumentation and control engineering DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESEnsure and coordinate the proper realization of the Instrumentdesign in compliance with organization's standard,project specifications and procedures, time schedule, requiredlevel of quality and safety Challenge Contractor on the proposeddesign, oversee the development of the Instrument design includingP&IDs, instrument datasheets, safety functions, instrumentdiagrams, cable schedules etc.

Ensure a regular interface andcoordination with other disciplines especially with ICSS team tosecure proper execution of project safety and control system.

Promote field technical optimization/cost savings, ensuring firstthat they are compliant with the project schedule and thecontracts, liaising with the Instrument Lead.

Identify Instrumentengineering technical decisions to be made. Define and manage clearway forward for these decisions to be made and report to InstrumentLead. Work with weight control engineer and engineering team toensure close weight monitoring and control of weight.

Contribute tothe proper realization of the identification and specification ofthe LLIs Participate in equipment FAT, SAT and other inspections atsite/vendor premises as required Ensure close coordination withother disciplines on all engineering, constructability, andoperational matters, Ensure that relevant feedback/lesson learnedfrom previous similar projects are considered in the designperformance.

Assist in planning and preparation of Instrumentdiscipline kick-off meeting with EPC Contractor Support procurementengineering including TBEs and vendor documents review, and assistin manufacture site visit Support fabrication and constructionengineering on review of engineering documents, modificationapproval, non-conformity reviews and assist in closer of punchlists Support project during installation and hookup stage andreview/approval work-pack, review of red-marks Ensure projectdocuments related to the Instrument discipline are reviewed andcommented in a timely manner and in accordance withorganization's standards, project specification andcontractual requirements.

Identify any optimization / improvementin the design dossier to be implemented in the early stage ofdetailed design, promote, and encourage submissions of valueengineering proposals.

Promote fit for purpose design to reduce andto optimize planning and costs, Ensure as far as possiblestandardization of design proposals for wellhead platformsCoordinate and issue project response to contractors and vendorsrequests on engineering design clarifications and TQR.

Identify theprotentional deviations/derogations to the organization to andassist in preparation of deviation package Consult E&Cdepartment to process derogation requests and interface withrelevant TRP to secure needed approvals Review of final projectdocumentation including final dossiers and as-built drawings.

Assist Instrument Lead to define, follow up and evaluate theInstrument discipline studies to be carried out by Contractors,ensure the studies completed as per approved project gate andmaturity.

Assist in preparation and attend to project studiesincluding model review, HAZOP, SIL, HAZID, constructability review,PRs.

Provide technical answers and clarifications to internalproject audit sessions (PR, HAZOP, SIL, HAZID, etc....).Participate in weekly Instrument engineering meetings withContractors, and in specific ad hoc meetings as required bymanagement.

Assist in preparation of engineering progress reportsdetailing Instrument discipline progress across schedule.

risks andtechnical issues to ensure accurate and timely informationavailable to Package Management Team Identifying potential risksand scope changes within the Instrument discipline, conductinginitial impact assessment to provide detailed information toInstrument Lead.

Ensure the design follows the approved SOR, basisof design and project standards, captured and manage any changes asper project change management plan.


EXPERIENCE:
Experience: 10-15years' experience as instrumentation and controlengineering in Oil and Gas industry.

Strong engineering knowledge,package interfaces (control & safety), tie-ins methodologyon existing operating ICSS Experience working in Asian Fabricationyard will be a plus.

Strong leadership skills and goodcommunication skills Major operator experience is required Abilityto work on projects in a complex and multiculturalenvironment
