Airswift is seekingfor a Project Engineering Manager (Offshore) to work in Qatar witha major Oil & Gas Company.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Degree or Masterin Engineering discipline Chartered Engineer / RegisteredProfessional Engineer is mandatory DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES TheProject Engineering Manager leads by example, consistentlydisplaying and enforcing the Company's values andbehaviours, and commitment to the highest standards of safe andethical behaviour, to ensure safe and reliable operations andclient satisfaction.

Driving technical assurance. Continuouspromotion of corporate / client specific procedures. Assist inincident investigations as required. Monitors compliance withstandards and processes to assure delivery. Roll out andImplementation of learning opportunities from across the business.

Driving continual focus on process safety through the engineeringteam Driving elimination of technical incidents through robustcontrols, incident reviews and embedding lessons learned Identifiesand mitigates areas of risk and improvement opportunitiesIdentifies and pursues improvement opportunities Managing andleading, supporting and supervising the multidiscipline engineeringteam Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the activitiesand operations of a multidiscipline engineering team Assist in themanagement of recruitment, selection, transfers, performancemanagement, succession planning and promotion of resources to meetengineering team requirements Ensuring appropriately resourced andcompetent personnel on Project/Contract Oversight and control ofEngineering Histogram to support workforce planning Assist insetting & maintaining standards for the development andretention of motivated and competent people Management of keystakeholders in the execution and delivery of contractedactivities.

Responsible for the engineering content of projectexecution plans for assigned contracts/projects Responsible for thedirection and management of the engineering and associated projectactivities of the business grouping/Project Manage and directresources efficiently and effectively.

Consult and negotiate withclients to prepare specifications, explain proposals and presentengineering reports and findings Assign, co-ordinate and review thetechnical work of the department or project teams Focuses onmanagerial concerns of the project such as cost, completion date,and resource allocation.

Provides expert resolution of issues andmonitors integration of work. Reviews technical concepts of majorprojects. Personally participates in solving difficult technicalproblems.

Resolves conflicts that are complex and manages divergentaudience Responsible for facilitating agreement between conflictingparties Resolves issues which are non-recurring and occasionallynovel Carries responsibility for resolution of major problems forthe engineering segment Assist in identifying and requestingfunctional support to projects / contracts as required Accountablefor the efficient planning and management of engineering resources,identifying ad pursuing opportunities for margin improvement,including HVEC utilisation.

Undertaking the role of process ownerDevelop and implement policies, standards and procedures for theengineering and technical work performed in the department Directsthe application of existing principles and the development of newpolices and strategies aligned with OU, BU and Corporate objectivesConduit for regulatory framework, legislation changes, initiativesand industry technology developments.


EXPERIENCE:

Minimum 15 yearsexperience in discipline engineering Experience in EPCM contractwill be advantageous Balance of technical and management experienceat relevant level and position.

Typically requires several years ofsupervisory experience with an understanding of human relations,training, performance evaluation and health and safety Broad andextensive knowledge of engineering theories and techniques and ahigh level of skill in application of this knowledge in themanagement of the engineering function Capable of representingbusiness and client to business associates in a professionalmanner.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capableof influencing people at all levels of the organization. Skilled inforecast planning for people resources. Skilled in recruitment andselection, employee communication and management includingperformance management. Able to implement and embed standards andprocesses to effect delivery of engineering excellence. Goodknowledge of regulatory framework and associated legislation.
Current knowledge of industry and technology development withinarea of expertise. Expert in Engineering excellence. Able to carryout audit and incident investigations Good Project managementskills. Skilled in mediation and dispute resolution Financial andcommercial awareness
