Factory Operations Manager - Tahini and Halwa Sweets Production

Position Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

Production Management:

  • Oversee all aspects of tahini and halwa sweets production, from ingredient sourcing to packaging and distribution.
  • Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demand while optimizing resource utilization.
  • Monitor production processes to ensure adherence to quality standards, food safety regulations, and company policies.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead and mentor a diverse team of production supervisors, operators, and support staff.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement within the production team.
  • Provide guidance and support to resolve operational issues and improve workflow efficiency.

Quality Assurance:

  • Implement and maintain quality control measures to ensure consistent product quality and safety.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify areas for improvement and address nonconformities.
  • Collaborate with quality assurance and food safety teams to uphold industry standards and certifications.

Inventory and Supply Chain Management:

  • Manage inventory levels, including raw materials, packaging materials, and finished goods.
  • Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and supplies.
  • Optimize inventory turnover and minimize waste through effective planning and inventory control.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities for process optimization, cost reduction, and waste minimization.
  • Implement lean manufacturing principles and best practices to enhance productivity and efficiency.
  • Lead and support crossfunctional teams in implementing process improvements and efficiency initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership role within a food manufacturing facility, with a focus on production management.
  • Proven track record of success in optimizing production processes, improving operational efficiency, and ensuring product quality.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety regulations, quality assurance principles, and manufacturing best practices.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize workload, and make sound decisions in a fastpaced environment.
  • Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
  • Flexibility to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
