Testing and Commissioning Engineer (Power transformer)

Job-Specific Skills:

  • Manage smooth commissioning of the project by Coordinating between the company and the Contractor. Occasionally travel overnight to jobs sites for onsite breaker testing and repair
  • Prepare and maintain commission records of site observations, testing processes and checklists.
  • Supervise and approve commissioning plans in accordance with project guidelines.
  • Review designs and perform onsite commissioning activities.
  • Outline procedures, norms, and details for writing the Systems Manual.
  • Monitor installation, submittals and usage of engineering tools adhering to project and commissioning guidelines.
  • Guide testing processes and motivate specialists to achieve standard results.
  • Assist with identification and redressal of commissioning and malfunction issues.
  • Track and review progress through meetings.
  • Evaluate contractual commissioning statistics and instruction guidelines in accordance with the needs of the project.
  • Compile commission report data for summarizing.
  • Assist in summarizing and updating commission records, SLD.
  • Schedule and supervise operational reviews in association with functional staff.
  • Create an empowering and inspiring work culture with the commissioning team.
  • Attain customer satisfaction through adhering to owner guidelines with the entire project team.
  • Should enough be capable to perform synchronization and coordination of substation, IEC61850.
  • Should have enough experience to trouble shoots for the related fields.
  • Should have enough experience to handle primary and secondary injection kits and all other related equipment's.

Key Responsibilities:

  • The Electrical Testing & Commissioning Engineer will be responsible for leading the activities related to the and system testing, commissioning program and construction site inspections. They will also be required to properly document all work activities completely and legibly.
  • Should have responsible on performing single handedly, testing & commissioning of Power transformers routine test, special predative maintenance tests.
  • Proper handling of clients and other contractors with in the scope of activity.
