The Cooling SystemDesign engineer will utilize standard engineering methods andprocedures when performing engineering tasks on a basiccomplexity level and according to given conditions such asfunction, geometry, cost, quality, regulations,etc. Candidate is expected to followestablished activity plans and processes when supporting a projector engineering process. Although CADdocumentation makes out a part of the ordinary work, the designeris expected to be able to developtechnical solutions and add an engineeringperspective to thedocumentation.

JobResponsibilities

  • Create or update CAD Models, Part Drawings, and InstallationDrawings using CREO Parametric.
  • Perform CADdocumentation within a technical area, including packagingverification and creating anddocumenting
  • productstructure.
  • Designing cooling systemscomponents and sub-components for PWTI -ICE (powertraininstallation - internal
  • combustionengines)
  • Help to engineer responsible fordeveloping modular systems and components to optimize partdiversity
  • Utilize existing engineering tools,methods, and processes, and to follow general OEM Design &Validation processes.
  • Learn internal tools andprocesses focusing on the assigned area.
  • Front-loading work to ensure robust early-stage releases and stablelate stage releases
  • Follow up quality status,participate in Design Reviews, perform risk analysis, root causeanalysis, and FMEAs.
  • Participate in strategicsourcing and systematic ratio work for costimprovement.
  • Release components as applicableto resolve maintenance issues or secure projectdeliveries.
  • Communicate active projectdeliveries during daily team leadershipmeetings.
  • Apply Quality Tools during thedesign phase and release process.
  • Operationalresponsibility for a component or sub-moduledelivery.
  • Integrate deliveries from others andsecure quality and readiness beforerelease.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalenttechnical field.
  • MUST have working knowledgeof Pro-E / CREO Parametric.
  • MUST haveknowledge of GD&T and the ability to apply GD&T todesigns.
  • MUST have 4+ years of relevantexperience in the Automotive or Heavy Truckindustry.
  • Proficient working knowledge inProduct Data Management systems such as Windchill, PDMLink,Teamcenter ispreferred.
