The position is reporting to the Area Division Manager, and coordinates the detail engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning activities of an assigned area to ensure the work is executed in compliance with the Contract, Project Design Basis, specifications, codes, standards, and regulations.


  • Coordinates between Engineering Team and others such as Construction, Systems Completion, Operations, other Project contracts, and third parties (RLTO, CSP and other Common Facility Owners) to obtain timely input and decisions.
  • Works with the Interface Team to obtain timely approvals from the RLIC and regulatory authorities.

About this role

  • Ensure that work is executed in compliance with the Contract, Project Design Basis, specifications, codes, standards, and regulations, and maintain design integrity and quality requirements through the management of change and specification deviation process.
  • Provide input to the contracts management team in response to contractual letters received from external parties.
  • Support the Area Division Manager and the Business Services team with project reporting and management of project controls.
  • Coordinate interfaces among Engineering, Construction, Systems Completion, Operations, other Project contracts, and third parties, including RLTO, CSP and other Common Facility Owners, to obtain timely input and decisions.
  • Ensure engineering planning supports procurement and construction execution schedules, and engages resources within and outside the PMT on a timely basis to resolve issues.
  • Coordinate multidiscipline technical and project management reviews as may be required from time to time.
  • Consistently complete deliverable reviews within contractual time limits and ensures high quality approved for construction engineering deliverables are provided on schedule.
  • Responsible for the stewardship and timely closeout of action items from the various meetings, constructability reviews, project management and technical reviews.
  • Work in a project environment in which the incumbent strives to achieve best in class Safety, Health, Environmental & Security performance by creating a culture that encourages every one to perform their best every day on every task.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of the training program for young Qatari Engineers and the development programs for Qatari Engineers in the National Development program during the Phase.

What you need to bring

  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering
  • 15 years of broad experience in all project phases, i.e. engineering, procurement and construction.
  • At least five (5) years of specific project engineering responsibilities on a major onshore oil and gas facility project.
  • Worldwide experience with contractors and vendors, in particular those involved in the engineering of major onshore oil and gas facilities.
  • Excellent written and spoken English skills.
