Main responsibilities:

  • Take over and undertake control room operations under the direction of the Production Supervisor of the running systems.
  • Operate and control the production and utility systems and equipment through the ICSS monitoring and reporting systems.
  • Ensure during the execution of the Work permit that the Operating of the facilities is consistent (Inhibitions reporting, systems isolations, live/unlive equipments).
  • Perform the Production and Maintenance equipments testing.

Main activities:

  • Operate and control the topsides, hull and subsea production and utility systems and equipment through the ICSS monitoring and reporting systems
  • Monitor the operating parameters of the production and utility process's/equipment
  • Support Production routine tasks
  • Execute the subsea system preservation sequences
  • Respond to ICSS alarms and investigate as directed by the Production Supervisor
  • Ensure the logging of all events in the Central Control Room
  • Prepare the daily report
  • Inform/update Production Supervisor of any abnormal operating conditions/situations
  • Form part of the emergency response team, providing information on equipment status and responsible for starting/stopping equipment
  • Liaise with the various teams to ensure good coordination and operations compatibility in term of safety
  • Supervise the coordination of the work permit execution from the control room
  • Ensure the tuning and optimization of the production function and propose update of the obsolete procedures
  • Initiate and follow up the necessary checks when deviations are reported
  • Advise the Production Supervisor of any potential hazardous situation or changes to operating conditions and implements any actions necessary to maintain safe continuous hydrocarbon production
  • Ensure that all plant and equipment are available for shut down as programmed and in accordance with the permit to work system and that installations are efficiently restarted thereafter
  • Carry out any other duties as may be assigned by the Production Supervisor from time to time, and within the limits of his competence and ability

More specifically during offshore commissioning:

  • Assist the commissioning team in preparing the commissioning operating tests and equipment performance checks
  • Assist the production team in preparing the startup phase

Methods:

  • Participate to production documentation (procedures, guidelines,...) updates
  • Keep a critical eye on installations and Command / Control system and, if need be, suggests improvements
  • Warn support teams of any recurring problems related to the availability and suggests improvements and/or modifications

HSE:

  • Have a good understanding of HSE rules
  • Establishes and maintains a strong safety culture in line with Company HSE Requirements and Rules

  • ESD 0 / Evacuation / Major Emergency supporting in relation with IOM located in Crisis Room and the emergency response team.
  • The holder of this position must have the following qualifications:
  • Experience (5 years mini) with operations of O&G installations production system and associated process
  • Experience (3 years mini) with use of Control Command System and more preferably of O&G production Control/Command System
  • Good knowledge of HSE safety rules
  • Responsibility, good communication skills, team spirit, organisation and method
  • Working language: English
