We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, hardworking and highly motivated, UK qualified, female Secondary Arabic Teacher to join our thriving and expanding Arabic Department
.


There are currently 15 teachers in our whole school Arabic Department who are in the process of designing and building the delivery of Qatar's National Curriculum and the Arabic Curriculum for non-native Arabic speakers.

It is important that our curriculum fulfils the requirements of Qatar's Ministry of Education and Higher Education in the medium of first language Arabic, whilst also offering non-native pupils the opportunity to access an Arabic and Islamic Studies Curriculum in English.

The curriculum design and delivery must also reflect our aim and vision for the school.

Successful applicants must have:

  • A certified Secondary teaching qualification, e.g. a B.Ed, PGCE or equivalent.

A Bachelor's Degree in Arabic
:

  • A desire to help build and collaborate with a thriving department in a new girls' school.
  • A proven track record of providing outstanding teaching and learning.
  • Knowledge of how to differentiate teaching materials so that all pupils have an opportunity to access the curriculum.
  • A willingness to take part in extracurricular activities after school.

Desirable qualities:

  • Experience of or ideas as to how technology can be integrated into teaching.
  • Experience of, or an understanding of how STEM education can be integrated into the Arabic and Islamic Studies curriculum
  • A willingness to learn how to teach Qatar History and have ideas on how to effectively integrate Qatari Culture and Qatari Values into the curriculum
  • Recent UK experience and previous international teaching experience.
