The Project Procurement Manager closelycollaborates with the procurement team, BU leadership, andoperations to develop and implement project procurement strategies.

  • The manager holds project procurement responsibilityfor any significant Capex or EPC-type projects. This includessupporting stakeholders in the creation of a project specificengineering strategy, creating a project specific procurementstrategy, coordination of all project specific procurement packagesvia pursuing continuously the project procurement plan as well asmanaging the interface with the broader procurement organization.
  • The manager will be responsible for market analyses,evaluating the current strategic situation and preparingalternatives for action, supplier management for individualsuppliers (define targets, develop measures, track implementation);coordinating and asserting procurement requirements with therequisitioner (especially TCO optimization of functionalspecifications), also at management level, handling of RFQs forEngineering Services, independent tactical analysis, generatingcompetition, coordinating supplier communication with therequisitioner, and project specific contract changes.
  • Execute entrepreneurial responsibilites such as developingframeworks and team process that culitvates innovation (&outcomes), continuously drive changes, through a solidunderstanding of commercial matters, market knowledge, andexcellent communication skills, but also outstanding vertical andlateral leadership skills.
  • Present the category orindividual sourcing strategies in front of the Tender Committee orleadership as requested.
  • Derive initiatives in linewith strategic requirements.

PerformanceManagement

  • Achieve all annualKPI's including cost savingstargets.

Execution

  • The Project Procurement Manager will assist with BU with tendersubmission preparation for all procurement-related documentationand information.
  • Act as an escalation point for allproject procurement related issues including major negotiations,service quality problems on large/critical contracts, and planningfor key projects.
  • Maintain key supplierrelationships to ensure optimal service, quality andprice.
  • Define optimization initiatives and plans toachieve them, exexute plans and folow up on any required correctiveactions.
  • Participate in the evaluation of proposals,accurately transferring information and documents to the commercialevaluation sheet/Fusion. Review and interpret tender documents andcontracts to ensure compliance with corporate policies andprocedures.
  • Plan for material and serviceavailability by analyzing trends, delivery systems, andmarkets.

RiskManagement

  • Identify, evaluate andmanage project risks (e.g., delivery dates, capacities, exchangerates / prices for materials) and develop risk managementinitiatives.
