Job Overview:

TheProject Manager is accountable for the financial and technicalsuccess of a project or segment of the project. They manage projectpersonnel to achieve project objectives and should consistentlypromote a culture of teamwork collaboration and success. TheProject Manager learns from other leaders and demonstrates valuesaligned with McDermotts values. They apply a basic understanding ofMcDermotts business to improve project costeffectiveness applychange management and improve project margin. They Develop projectexecution plans across disciplines and understand the projectsimpact on the clients business objectives.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Manage projects up to$200 million or may manage a discrete portion of a larger project
• EPFC Phase Act as McDermotts principalrepresentative and hold responsibility for all matters pertainingto the project and project execution in accordance with thecontract and the projects HSE project security quality schedule andfinancial goals
  • Accountable to McDermottmanagement and the client for McDermott team performance
  • Maintain the authority to direct the ProjectTeam within the bounds of McDermott Policy and engage SeniorManagement for the resolution of project issues and conflicts
  • May be assigned during the Precontract phaseto manage the preparation of the Proposal in coordination with theCommercial team
  • During the Proposal phase PMresponsibilities include oversight for the preparation of theEstimate associated support documentation preparation of Bid andProject execution strategy and leading Risk and Opportunitymanagement program among other activities
• FEED Project Manager will act asMcDermotts principal representative responsible for all matterspertaining to the FEED execution effort in accordance with thecontract and the projects HSE quality schedule and financial goals
  • Maintain accountability for the development ofFEED Winit strategy
  • Accountable to McDermottmanagement and the client for McDermotts team performance
  • Maintain authority to direct the FEED teamwithin the bounds of McDermott Policy and engage Senior Managementfor the resolution of project issues and conflicts
• Ensure the financial success andtechnical execution of all phases of a project
• Ensure the Project is administered and executed to thesatisfaction of the Client by the highest ethical and safetystandards and compliant with our company policies and proceduresand legal requirements
• Completeresponsibility for the management of all phases of small to mediumsize projects or parts of a larger project
• Realize the financial and technical success of theproject or part of a larger project
• Organizethe Project Team and fortify all required positions withappropriate and competent people to undertake project managementfunctions of the project
• Manage projects tomeet cost schedule safety quality and contractual requirements tothe satisfaction of internal and external customers
• Review and approve project expenditures costs estimatesbudgets financial forecasts and project schedules
• Use discipline and project management expertise toidentify and solve a range of project problems/issues withinfunctional groups
• Manage plan organizecoordinate and control small projects or a part of a larger projectby established policies procedures systems and requirements
• Manage relations with internal and externalcustomers
• Act as a focal point with theClient (depending on the size of the project)
• Negotiate with internal and external customers to achieveproject goals including changes to project work scope contractprice and schedule
• Direct project executionthrough project team members and functional managers
• Liaise and coordinate with Project Construction ManagerProject Engineering Manager Project Procurement Manager project HSEAdvisor Project Quality Manager Project Controls Manager DisciplineManager Subcontractors Production Engineers Operations Engineersetc.
• Identify track and manage all changes inthe Scope of Work schedule and execution methodology on the projectwith all changes to be captured through the Desk Top ChangeManagement System (DTCMS)
• Plan direct andlead the engineering procurement and construction efforts andformulate the most costeffective plan to timely completion withinbudget and manage the execution of that plan by Company / Areaguidelines Project Management Level 2 procedures
• Develop approve and implement the Project Execution Plan(PEP) Project SetUp and Project Closeout
• Manage Bid Proposals with the Company Proposals groupEstimating Legal and Business Development departments. Leads bidtechnical and commercial clarifications meetings and negotiationswith the client to bring about the successful award of the project
• Ensure that the closeout activities areproperly performed and documents are submitted as required by thecontract and McDermott Closeout Procedure
• Ensure that the Project Management Team implementslessons learned and that the lessons learned on the project aredocumented in the database
• Foster anenvironment for building team morale and build consensus with theproject team
• Adhere to Company SafetyStandards

Essential Qualifications and Education:

• EPC PM: 15 years minimumrelevant industry experience FEED PM: 10 years minimum relevantindustry experience with Function experience
• Bachelors Degree in Engineering Construction Managementor another relevant subject
• PostgraduateManagement qualification an advantage
• PMPpreferred
• Experience in managing Lump SumTurnkey Projects
• Ability to develop ProjectsExecution strategy Profit Plan and objectives to ensure efficientand effective implementation aligned with McDermott Policiesoverall business strategy and objectives
• Technical competency in the subject matter of the Projectto be able to manage the implications of technical challenges andselection of key project team members
• Effective and efficient communication skills
• Capacity to maintain a working knowledge of the projectas part of overall Project accountability and ensure implementationof required corrective actions
• Dataanalyticsfocused in support of tracking and trending of ProjectPerformance
• Ability to assist ProjectDirectors in problemsolving and conflict resolution
• Ability to provide recommendations to the Operationsgroup in the development of policies and procedures as part of thecontinuous improvement process
• Ability tounderstand and be able to communicate the link between the Projectand corporate needs
• Champion implementationand adherence to McDermotts Processes Procedures and tools on theProject
• Ability to strategies and foreseepotential issues
• Knowledgeable/insight intowork planning schedule cost controls risk management progressmeasurement and forecasting to drive the Project and its financialperformance
• Digital transformation focusedDemand organizations support with digital solutions on the projectas part of innovation and continuous improvement processes
• Understanding of EPC contracts andcontracting strategies with the ability to communicate contractrequirements to the Project Team
• Ability toempower and empathize with team members
