Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead on the development and review of assessment systems to ensure robust evaluation of student and school performance
  • Track and analyse attainment and progress data from all Key Stages, including internal assessments and exam data
  • Provide robust feedback and challenge to colleagues to devise action plans and secure improvements against appropriate national standards
  • Use external data to personalise learning and raise individual levels of attainment
  • Work in conjunction with SLT and Heads of Faculties to review the curriculum offer at all Key Stages to ensure a broad and balanced offer for our students
  • Work in conjunction with SLT, Heads of Faculties and SEND/Pastoral teams to secure improvements in Teaching and Learning and drive improvements in standards and expectations
  • Work with the community to develop relationships and our parentschool relationship

Essential:

  • Qualified Teacher Status
  • Current knowledge of UK National Curriculum requirements and curriculum planning
  • Experience as an outstanding leader, preferably in a high performing UK or international school
  • Experience of using formative assessment systems to evaluate the curriculum
  • Highly effective team leader, able to motivate and engage other staff through change and new initiatives
  • A team player, able to foster trust and offer challenge to colleagues
  • Proven team management skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Commitment to continued personal and professional development

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of BTEC courses
