PositionsSupervised: Project Designer and AssociateDesigner

POSITION SUMMARY:Serves as an interior design team member under the Design Directorand Project Manager

ESSENTIALFUNCTIONS:

Advise client oninterior design factors such as space planning layout andutilization of furnishings or equipment and colorcoordination

Knowledge of local materialresources preferred

Participate in theconstruction administration of projects and review of submittalsand finished samples

Support businessdevelopment and marketing efforts when needed

Proven experience in FF&E design development anddocumentation

Outstanding graphic presentationskills

Works with Design Director and client todevelop schematic FF&E design based on project criteriaprogram and budget

Participates in presentationand ensures format is compatible with office and clientstandards

Develops and maintain FF&Ebudget

Serves as principal contact withpurchasing agent Review sample strikeoffs etc. for compliance withspecifications and design intent

Directs andreviews furniture plans for content and accuracy and insures thatthey fully coordinated with architectural electrical RCP andlighting plans and other consultants drawings

Coordinates presentation of artwork

CoordinatesFF&E installation with all partiesinvolved

Works with Project Designer and ProjectManager throughout the project to help formulate staffutilization/work plan task assignments and allocationfees

Knowledgeable about contractualresponsibilities as it relates to the scope ofwork

Produce and coordinate finishschedule

Direct education of Associate Designerstaff and Interns in office standards and policy

Make task assignments to Assistant Designers Allocate and adjustbudget amounts in coordination with client and DesignDirector

Review and modify if necessary allspecifications

Develops schematic design fromestablished project program and client needs

Translates schematic design into design development drawings foruse by production staff

Helps Design Directormaintain continuity of design intent through constructiondocumentation

Participates in presentations asneeded Assists in coordination of interior architectural documentswith work of consultants and architects

Preparesinterior architectural specifications

Coordinates staff utilization/ work planning and budgetrequirements with Design Director and ProjectManager

SKILLS ANDABILITIES:

Education:Bachelors Degree (fouryear college or technicalschool)

Experience: 7 years of experience inArchitecture or Design

Other Requirements:Experience in the Hospitality industry. Fluent in AutoCAD AdobePhotoshop and writing custom specifications.
