The Civil Engineering (CE)


Supervisor isresponsible for managing storage and maintenance activities forBear order of Battle (BOB) and Civil Engineering (CE) equipment toinclude receipt, accountability, storage, inspection, maintenance,issue and reconstitution.

Supervise CE workshops and facilities(e.g., power production, electrical, refrigeration, fabricationshops etc.). Direct preparation of stored assets for exercise oractual deployments.

Ensures compliance with Performance WorkStatement (PWS) and Amentum ISO 9001:
2015 Quality Management System(QMS). Principal Accountabilities
  • Performs CSC Inspections onContainers as needed.
  • Coordinates, Oversees and Monitor periodicinspections and maintenance services on assigned assets in the BearBase Departments.
  • Coordinates, Oversees and Monitor civilengineering and other equipment for exercises or actual deploymentsin the Bear Base Departments.
  • In the absence of the PowerProduction Supervisor operates, maintains troubleshoots and repairspower generation equipment and related power generation duties.
  • Performs TDY within the area of operations as required.
  • Incoordination with the Bear Base Superintendent schedules andcoordinates with the Work Control all shop work assignments.
  • Responsibility as foreman of maintenance facilities and shops.
  • Inspects Hazardous Materials within the assigned work center andcoordinates with the appropriate office for the disposal of HAZMATwhen required.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by theSuperintendent or Site Manager.
  • As alternate Bear BaseSuperintendent, performs all duties of that position during thetemporary absence of the incumbent listed below.
  • Receives,manages, accounts for stores; inspects, and maintains equipment andassets.
  • Stocks and maintains parts, tools and supplies to performrequired work on assets, requisitioning additional tools and partsas needed.
  • Responds to inquiries concerning storage and status ofassigned equipment.
  • Plans, develops and implements procedures forall Bear Base technical work.
  • Coordinates the erection andconstruction of Bear Base assets to support real world exercisesand contingencies.
  • Evaluates employees work performance, resolvepersonnel related problems and initiate action to correctsubstandard performance by personnel and determine logisticsupport.
  • Research assets/equipment discrepancies and identifiesthem to the customer.
  • Reviews Standard Basis Supply System(SBSS), supply documents to verify status of parts.
  • Reviews C49to verify status of parts.
  • Submits the local purchase supplydocuments to procure items such as test, and shop equipment,consumables etc.
  • Reviews and inventories Organizational EquipmentListings (OEL) and Contract Data Requirement Lists (CDRL) for thedepartment.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Works in normaloffice and maintenance shop or warehouse environment and may berequired to work outdoors for extended periods.
MinimumRequirements
  • Must have outstanding customer service andorganizational skills and be able to understand, speak, read andwrite English at an advanced level.
  • Must be proficient in the useof personal computers and Windows Operating System and MicrosoftOffice to include as a minimum Power Point, Excel and Wordprograms.
  • Ability to read, understand and interpret all technicaldata associated with Civil Engineering and BOB assets and relatedequipment required.
  • Must be able to obtain CSC Certification.
  • Must possess a valid home country driver's license andability to obtain host nation driver's license.
  • Will berequired to operate material handling equipment.
  • High Schooldiploma or equivalent required.
  • Background inmechanical/electrical equipment maintenance required.
  • Requiredexperience in the operations and maintenance of electrical powerproduction equipment and associated equipment.
- 5 years experiencewith CE equipment and engineering workshop facilities required. - 5years experience in an equipment management or CE equipmentsupervisory position and demonstrated understanding of Bear Baserequired.
  • May be exposed to extreme noise from operatingequipment.
  • Will be required to wear proper Personal ProtectiveEquipment (PPE) according to prescribed procedures and as requiredfor task being performed.
  • Physically capable of performing allrequired duties; capable of lifting/pushing/pulling minimum of 50lbs.

  • Must be able to travel domestically and internationally.
PreferredQualifications
  • Hands on experience with BOB assets or similarDepartment of Defense Agencies Contingency Systems preferred.
